IE for MAC 5.2 - all favorites have disappeared

Using IE 5.2 w. Mac OSX Jaguar for 3 months. Suddenly, from one launch
to next, all favorites bookmarked have vanished. CAN'T FIND THEM
ANYWHERE.
Tried Sherlock. No results. Ideas?

Search for the file(s) labelled Favorites.html across the HD and see if they
are still there. If so, the file should be made to reside here...

~/Library/Preferences/Explorer/Favorites.html

I have had this same issue on two of our computers. The favorites are
gone. I've not been able to recover them. This is very irritating to
the end user. Since Microsoft is not going to update IE for the Mac
this bug may not get resolved. It may be a good reason to migrate to
Safari.
