When I open an e-mail in Entourage that contains complex HTML display
panes (a newsletter from the Sierra Club, for example, or special
offers from an airline) Entourage displays an X inscribed in a circle
where each HTML image should be. My Entourage Preferences are set to
send and receive HTML yet the problem continues. Is there anyone out
there who can help me remedy this, please?

If you use Entourage 2001 or Entourage X, go to Mail & News Preferences,
click the "Read" tab, and make sure the option to "Allow network accessŠ" is
enabled.

If you use Entourage 2004, you should see a yellow Info Bar on top of the
message.  Click the blue "Download Pictures" text to download all of the
images.  The option is turned off for your protection, since its a method
used by spammers to validate e-mail addresses.
