My friend and I set up folders at our web sites for uploading and
downloading of files. We have different hosting companies but both use
control panels and the process is fairly simple to set up
.
We now both have a folder that can be accessed by ftp. My problem is that I
have to use an ftp program, IE doesn't work. The PC version of IE does work.

When I ftp the site from Windows IE 6, a dialog box opens asking for two
fields - login and password. I fill them in and get to the folder.

On IE for the Mac, I am presented with 3 fields:

User ID
Password
Account

I put the pass word in password, but no matter what I do with the other
fields, I get authenticity failure, sorry.

Is there a way?

I can use transmit, but I would like to use IE.

In transmit, I put nhbungalow.com
User name: photo
password: tester

If you have time, give it a try. Let me know if you think I can access the
folder from a Mac browser.

In Safari you can access the ftp site without a problem, even better
you can mount it on the desktop.
So forget about IE and try Safari.
