The only internet protocols Mac Internet Explorer understands are ftp and
http. Which protocols are you attempting to use?
Microsoft makes a DAP plug-in for WinIE, but not for MacIE (they only make 1
or 2 plug-ins for MacIE, and those are free).
"Microsoft requires a license for each client machine to use Microsoft's
Data Access Pages." If this statement, from the wrox.com site, is correct,
then Microsoft Data Access Pages clients and servers use a proprietary
protocol. MacIE does not understand this proprietary protocol, and neither
does WinIE. You must pay money to Microsoft for each machine you want to
use as a client, and you must use their special software, which does not
exist for Macs.
Try some google research. You will learn something.
Why use MS junk? Try some Open Source software, there are plenty of
database options. Try looking on VersionTracker.com and SourceForge.com
