I'm not sure if it was the recent upgrade to 10.3.6, but I've never
had trouble ever
with IE until now. first of all I have to double click on most links
to get them to show up.
If I only click once, I get a blank page.
Also some pages are just not working. For example, www.aol.com
comes up with a page that only shows the advertisement at the top.
Rest of the page shows nothing. I went To Safari, and the problem does
not exist there.
Is there a setting I do not have correctly?
One other problem, I can't seem to do live chat on aol. Although I am
using cable,
I'm still a member of aol.. This could be a mac aol problem, not sure
I just now there has been a chance recently.
I'm using a G4 aluminum powerbook
1.25 ghz.
panther 10.3.6
Thank you.

You didn't specify which version of IE you were using, but I can
remember having issues with an older version of IE not displaying pages.
The workaround was to use the "toolbar hide button" to toggle the
window's toolbar back and forth. For whatever reason, that seemed to
"wake up" IE and get it to redisplay what it didn't the first time.
I haven't had that problem since I updated to IE 5.1.7 on my OS 9
installation and IE 5.2.3 on my OS X system. These are the final
versions that Microsoft will make available to the Mac platform, and are
available on MS's Mactopia site ( http://www.mactopia.com ).
If you're running the latest (and last) IE version, then the OS update
you installed may have caused a singular issue on your machine. Repair
disk... repair privileges...
