When in my IE5.1.7 for Mac and I am in Yahoo!Group, a repeatedly get
an Error message : "An error occurred while loading Shockwave Flash
NP-PPC"

Yah, yah, I know. I am running 5.1.7 on an old Power Mac PPC 6500/300
using OS 8.1 and 64 Mb of memory. Don't laugh. Someday, you may be 7
years out of date and have limited memory.

Is there any way I can fix it, because clicking the OK button twice is
getting real old. I've tried to Install the Flash software I have, I
think it's Flash 5, but that doesn't install. I don't get this message
in my AOL browser, but that's AOL Mac 5.0 and that has different
problems.

I hope you can help.

Not really sure what's causing your problem, however I'd be surprised if
YahooGroups required Flash. Is it a specific page that gives this error?

For info, I use Yahoo Groups with IE 5.1.6, Opera 5 & Netscape 4.77 and
don't get this error.
OS used is 8.1, 7.6.1 & 7.5.5
I have the Shockwave Flash NP-PPC file (version 2.0r11) in my plug-ins
for Netscape & IE, but no plug-ins with Opera.

I think I would try removing the Explorer preferences from the
Preferences folder if it was me.
