Hi there-

We just got a new computer in the office with a new copy of Explorer on it.
The employee who got the new computer would like to use his
favorites/bookmarks from his other version of Explorer, and he can't figure
out how to import them. Is there a way to pick up all those preferences and
favorites, etc and use them to customize this new copy?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Anne,

You can export the favorites to a Html file and import it on the new
computer.

To Export favorite pages:

1) on the Window menu, click Favorites.
2)on the File menu, click Export Favorites.
3)Specify a location for the exported file and click Save.
4)Copy this file to the new computer.
5)Open IE on the new computer.
6)On the Window menu, click Favorites.
7)Click the HTML file that contains the links you want to import, and then
click Open.

If you follow the above steps..you should have your favorites of the old
comp on your new comp.

Let me know how it goes.
