Hi,

I have some text inside DIV tags positioned with 'absolute'positioning :  each line is separated by <BR>.

On Win IE 6 text looks fine, but on Mac IE, lines are broken not at <BR> tags, but arbitrarily after 20 characters or so ... before
the <BR> tags.

Appreciate any ideas.

thanks, T. de Groot

I'm basically having the same trouble.  I just built a new web site.
It looks great in Safari, and Netscape using OSX Panther, but it looks
terrible on the start homepage in Internet Explorer.  I too, was using
some html to position my header and text,  but Explorer seems to have a
mind of it's own when it comes to displaying this page.  The other
pages seem to look OK from what I have seen so far.  I have Virtual PC
on my Mac & viewed it with Windows XP, Windows 98, and Windows 2000.
They all display fine as well.  It's just  IE on the Mac that is
screwed up.  I booted up OS9.2 on my laptop.  It displayed a little
better in OS9, but the title was still screwed up.  Boy if anyone out
there knows what is happening here, I'd really appreciate some info on
this.  So you can see what I mean, I'm going to post the url for anyone
who cares, to look at it.   Here goes:

I've made some "improvement" by going in and for each absolutely positioned DIV that contains text elements specifying a width
value. I've also, for the hell of it, thrown in the tag Nowrap=true in the Div's even though that is supposed to be "deprecated."

I haven't seen the "improvement" yet with my own eyes, but my mac tester says the text blocks are much improved. Hopefully will
check today.

best, Bill Woodruff

In IE5.1.6 I note the main text section does not fill the width of the
right hand frame like it does in Netscape 4.77, but it looks ok.
