Hi all;
A brother have MacbookPro 4.1 version with DVI output. I bought him DVI
- HDMI adapter (Bandridge) and HDMI cable. When we connect Macbook Pro
to TV on TV it says "Wrong format". We have tryed all resolution
options and refresh standards but no picture on TV. Same cable works
fine on Sony PS3. One more thing to mention - MacbookPro sees LG TV in
display propeties.
Help please.

I'd suspect the adapter or the TV.

I have a mid 2007 Mac Mini and similar vintage MacBook Pro (3,1) which
connect fine to my Samsung TV via a reasonably cheap DVI to HDMI cable.

The TV is the main display for my Mac Mini, running at the TV's native
1920x1080 resolution.
