Hello, where can I find docs, info... about the logic board (661-0470) of the Mac Portable 5120? My built-in speaker doesn't work well. And I may have a problem on the logic board and I would like to know what to do. Are you saying you *have* parts (then why disappointed?) or you have *no* parts...?? Anyway, schematics will be tough to find. Gamba (http://home.earthlink.net/~gamba2/index.html) has pointers to service manuals. Mac Gurus (www.macgurus.com) has some mobo layouts, but not schematics. I don't know the Portable, but the speaker should be replaceable w/o schematic IF you can find a replacement that fits. The fact is that when turning on the Mac Portable (M5120), the screen remains desesperately black, no sad/happy Mac, no try to check itself or to access to the hard disk, nothing. Seems that the Portable can't do initialise (?). I am disappointed because I thought the most difficult thing to find was the parts. But it seems that it is also very difficult to find the schematics for this logic board or somebody who may know what to do in this case. Perhaps have you these elements ? thanks for the links, I have already the service manual for the Portable but nothing about the schematics, the chips of the logic board. The Little Elfe |
