The keyboard on my mac conked out, so i'd like to replace it, but with
something smaller.

Basically, i want to lose all the keys to the right of the qwerty
block.
(I'd like to lose the F1-F12 row as well, but maybe that's asking for
too much.)

Anyhow, there are some usb keyboards that actually do get rid of
all of those extra keys (or at least "hide" them behind an additional
modifier key).

But these nice, small keyboards tend to not include a port from which
you
can hang a mouse or other peripheral.

There is the emprex 5139h (http://www.emprex.com/02_products_02.php?
id=209),
which may exist somewhere, but not at Fry's and seemingly not online.
(Fry's
has the 5139u which is missing any usb ports.)

Thanks in advance for any advice or pointers.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the pointers.

But as far as i can tell, none of these keyboards includes a port from
which
another device (such as a mouse) can be hung from.

What i ultimately ended up doing was getting a happy-hacking
keyboard.  See the
wikipedia article:

Anyhow, if i am wrong about any of the keyboards you mentioned,
i.e., if any of them has a usb port, please let me know and thanks
in advance.
