G4 digital audio, Mac OS 9.2.2 and OS 10.3.9

My old Apple Pro Mouse is starting to die (intermittent operation and
system freezes), so it's time for a new mouse. I boot into both Mac OS 9
and Mac OS X so I need a mouse that works with both. The Pro Mouse is no
longer made so I'm looking at the Apple Wired Mighty Mouse which
supposedly has reduced functionality with Mac OS 9. This is OK with me
since I can live with the single button functionality of the Pro Mouse.
Anyway, exactly what is the functionality I would get with Mac OS 9

  - single button function (click and double click stuff)

  - right (control C) click??

  - scroll wheel (will it do anything)??

TIA

The one thing you will get with the mighty mouse is a pain in the butt -
while it works ok the scroll wheel is hopeless on any small windows -
much too jerky and I find I have to scroll up and down to read the text.

Mine now sits on the desk (cause I am not good at chucking stuff out)
and I use a Microsoft USB mouse - much nicer when scrolling and the 2nd
button function is much easier to use

David - who got the mighty mouse with his iMac but bought the MS mouse
to replace it.
