So I've been anxious to hear a review from someone who earns their
living browsing, how does the iPod touch work as a browser?

Well, I have an iPhone.  I assume that the experiences are relatively
similar as they are supposedly the same app's.  Whether they are or
not, I can not tell you.

The browsing on the mobile Safari is pretty cool.  I like the ability
to view in landscape mode.  One major lacking feature is flash.
Safari really needs flash, but I can understand Apple's position on
that.  Perhaps it will come in a future update...along with bricking
more phones, I'm sure.

Thanks, just what I wanted to know. I would expect the WiFi to be a
little better than the iPhone. Safari being 'pretty cool' makes the
iPod Touch very attractive for my house. I must spend about half my
computer time researching, which could all be done by touch, as long
as I can read it & email myself the results. And there's four other
computer users in my house but only two other Macs. If a handheld
browser is cool, that's enough of a killer app to justify $300. IMO of
course.
