Mac Mini: closing the case

I opened my Intel Mini open (using the "special" putty knife tool) and all
went well. But when I closed it up, there remains a gap at the rear that I
can't get closed. It's on the left side (as viewed from the rear), and the
interference seems to be at the top of the connector panel, as best I can
determine.

I've gotten all the shield bits (sheet metal tabs) inside the gap when
closing it up, except the wide one which seems should not be pushed
completely inside.

What am I missing? How does one close the gap completely?

Thanks.

One pops it open again to see if one has gotten a wire pinched in the
wrong place, I think.

Nope. No wires. (after 4 re-do's...)
