Keytop removal and replacement

I have a MacBook Pro with a German keyboard and I would like to change
this for a UK keyboard.  One option is to take out the old keyboard and
put in a new one, however I think it might be easier to replace (some
of) the keytops.  Obviously I want to minimise the risk to the keys and
to the key tops.  Does anyone here have experience with popping key tops
on and off?  Are there tips and tricks I should know about please?

Thanks

Hi Merl, I do the same with my powerbook and it's still easy. You can
see some details on http://www.sterpin.net/clipsagetouche.htm in
french but the pictures are very detailed.
Good work.

Merci beaucoup!

That's pretty much all I needed to know and the pictures make it very
easy.  Thank you.

One more question.  To remove the key top, the piece with the letter on
it, it looks as if I have to insert something, maybe the blade of a
screwdriver, under the top edge of the key top and pop it off.  Is this
correct?  And what would you recommend as the best tool to remove the
key tops?  I want to avoid damaging the parts as much as I can!

Thanks

Merl
