Sleeping on the new keyboard?

I just got one of the new aluminum keyboards. Although I really like
the form factor and the typing quality, none of the keys seem to work
right. Yes, I have installed the updater.

The only thing I really need though is the sleep key. My old Apple
Extended II would sleep by hitting the Power Key (so handy!). Is there
any way to do this on the new machine without a three-finger salute?
There's nothing in the Keyboard and Mouse control panel that seems to
be obvious.

Isn't there a setting for when you move your cursor off the top left
corner for this?

The power key on ADB keyboards brought up the shutdown dialog. On USB
keyboards that is now done with Control + Eject. The shortcut for
immediate sleep is Command + Option + Eject.

Somebody just reviewed a bunch of programs for reassigning keys, you
might Google it.   I have no interest in that, so I didn't pay much
attention.
