I'm trying to apply a firmware update to my LaserJet 2420. I downloaded
the OSX one from the Hewlett Packard site and am trying to decipher the
instructions. (I called HP but gave up after listening to the hold
recording for an hour.) It says I can do it via Terminal, but it says I
need the IP address of the printer (which it says is on the "second page
of the configuration page." I printed the configuration page from the
control panel on top of the printer; only one page came out, and there's
nothing about an IP address. It's a USB, non-networked printer, so how
could it have an IP address? Is there another way to do this firmware
update?

Since my LJ 2420 doesn't have automatic duplexing, I wouldn't be looking
at the other side of the page. If the "configuration page" has two
pages, another one would have come out.
