Hi,
After more research on wired routers I've zeroed in on a D-Link EBR-2310
4 port router. One reviewer indicated that you can't update the router
firmware using a Mac. Does anyone know if this is true of this model or
any other D-link router wired or wireless?
TIA

Never mind the answer seems to be yes, a Mac can be used. The D-Link
website has detailed instructions for downloading and installing router
firmware. You need a compatible browser and they list them, the list
includes Mozilla (I assume Firefox would work) and Safari.

I can't speak for the D-Link EBR-2310 model explicitly, but uploading
firmware to my D-Link DI-624 model router has been easy via a Mac OS X
web browsers (Camino, Safari etc.). I checked their download area and
they do offer firmware for it.
Also, why not ask D-Link tech support if you can do this too.
HTH..

I've updated the firmware on one of these with no problem. Most are
web-based, so the host platform should be mostly a non-issue.
