i decided to move up from my G4 to a (non-intel) G5 = then i bought
(ebay) a new, sweet samsung 906bw monitor. i put a radeon 9800pro,
256mg card into the machine, updated the drivers and then hooked up
the samsung, only to discover their drivers (on cd) are only for pc!
there has to be some way to install them? w/o the drivers most of the
monitor controls do not work and tho' my video card will support
anything up to apple cinema display resolutions, w/o the drivers the
best i can do is 1280 x 960, and it is still a bit stretched. it
should be running 1400 x 900 for the wide screen.
i have looked in all the usual places for info but found none. it has
a 3yr warranty but samsung tech support/customer service isn't...
any ideas?
can you point me in the right direction?
any direction?

thanks in advance.............

Drivers for monitor?
Set right resolution in System Preferences.
If you can not do that, try to find better drivers for display card.

agreed, set resolution you desire (best find out the default
resolution for your LCD) and don't forget "refresh rate" which doesn't
directly correspond for some LCD's but you should be able to find
something about it in the physical characteristics of the LCD's manual
(usually near the back), or calculate it from "response time" (?).
