1) Get your act together and prove to them that you are worth it to
them. They must need you, not the other way around, and you must make
that plausible to them. Why should they give away expensive equipment to
someone to play with otherwise?
2) Ask their Product Manager at the nearest local level to you, like
anyone else would have had to. Or better yet: Become important enough
that he/she comes to you.
In other words: Better settle down for the long haul...

Thats not encouraging, seems I cant have one without the other, so my
only choice is to increase my readership which will be hard without
products to test.

I used to work for Apple, and I used to work for an Apple reseller. I
can tell you that they would not at that time (only very few years ago)
even have contemplated _giving_ away expensive stuff for review,
_unless_ you gave them a good reason to. Would you? Would anyone else?
Whatever makes you think that they think otherwise?
