Powerbase and problems with IDE hard drive

I replaced the hard drive in a Power Computing Powerbase machine with a
Fujitsu MPB302AT 2.16GB hard drive

The hard drive seems to be OK (I was able to format it in a Windows
machine), but the Powerbase doesn't seem to recognize it at all (I
tried Drive Setup, etc.)

Anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

The PowerBase only supports one device on its built-in IDE bus. Do you
have more than one device connected? If the HD is the only device on the
bus, make sure its jumper is set to master, not cable select.

Yeah, I checked all of that out. Still no joy. I'll put the disk back
on the PC, to see if it will still
operate (i.e. it hasn;t been damaged by hooking it up to the Mac
somehow....)

Or maybe the drive is just not compatible with the Powerbase IDE
interface? (The original disk was a
Seagate, I think.....)
