D-link NIC with Tiger?

I just formatted my drive and reinstalled Tiger and my DLink NIC. Everything
is now installed properly, it seems.

But the NIC is acting strangely: It wont connect to my network properly. It
reports a 100% signal and a proper connection but says that the WEP password
which I put in and which it accepted is wrong. It isn't.

It also wont connect to a neighbour's network.it connects and reports a
connection between 60 and 100% and gets on to the Internet but drops the
connection after a few minutes, all the while showing the 60% connection!

Anyone know what might be going on please?

Everything was working properly and easily before the re-install,everything
else on which works properly.

The D-Link NIC's only work thru 10.2.8.  Their tech support told me they
may write a new driver for higher systems, but couldn't say when.

The only one I found that works with Tiger is the Sonnett Digabit card.
It's pricy ($79), but it was the only thing I could do after the built-
in NIC in my G4 was destroyed by lightning.  It was still cheaper than
replacing the motherboard for $800 plus labor.
