I have a friends snow iMac and it needs a new clock battery-
I almost got the cover off but it's stuck. -I think on the lip thing that's
around the CDRom slot.
How do I get this cover off without busting anything?
Am I missing a screw or something? It doesn't seem like it.
Thanks...DaveC....

I think you are being very careful, which is very commendable. This is
from the "Take Apart" for the 500 Snow.
>Before you begin, position
>the computer face down,

>shorter screws attach near the flip foot.
>5. Pull the bottom housing off the computer.
Now if you do have all the screws out the lower housing will lever away
from the body of the computer. I usually just snap the cover away. It
snaps in at the area you're talking about.
Once this cover is off the power switch will be exposed. Be careful not
to damage it as I have snapped them off.
>1. Remove the six screws on the EMI cover.
>2. Lift the EMI cover off thecomputer.

>place by gently squeezing in on both sides, as you lower
>the cover into position.
You can now see the battery, It should read 3.3 to 3.7 V
If not replace.
Good luck.
