Hi, I own a G4 Cybe running OS Tiger.  I have a keyboard and speakers
plugged into a USB port.  There are also a mouse and graphics tablet
plugged into the keyboard. Lately, twice in the last week, the keyboard
and everything plugged into have gone dead.  I had to restart my
computer to get them working again. I am wondering if there is any way
to diagnose this problem. Is there any way to tell what might be causing
it?  Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

Mirsky

If you disconnect the speakers and tablet, does the problem go away?

If so, you probably need a powered USB hub. Your peripherals may be
drawing too much power from the bus.

Unplug the KB from the cube; and plug into the other USB jack.
Does that help at all?
and/or
Try unplugging the tablet...

For me, 99% of the time, X recovers from this hassle.

OS9 kept losing devices right & left...and would NOT recover short
of rebooting.
