I bought a 15g 3rd generation iPod at a garage sale yesterday. There are a
couple of things I need for it.
It came with a firewire connector. I have a PC with USB only. Can I replace
the firewire cable with a USB one, or should I get a firewire/USB adapter
of some kind? I want to make sure to get the right thing.
I'd like to get a wall charger for it as well. Exactly what should I get?
Thanks in advance!

My wife bought a PCI firewire card for her PC that she uses with a 15g
3rd generation iPod. The iPod charges off of the 6-pin firewire port.
4pin ports don't have power. Before you put a lot of money into it, make
sure its battery will hold a charge.

Stick with the FireWire card suggested by the other poster....when I
used a USB cable with my 3G, it would work for transferring files, but
not for charging.

eBay has every iPod accessort you could possibly want, just make sure to
include "3G" in your search,
