hi,

can anybody advise me how to open the above keyboard?
i see 3 small screws near one side, i took them out, but more as a
little bit i cannot open the case.
(keys are off, want to clean it in soapy water, as the room under the
keys is a *very* interesting biotop!)

Depends what keyboard it is; I can't recall anything called "keyboard 2"
but can remember a couple with similar names (and it's the fact that
it's more than one that makes it a challenge). There should be a sticker
or silkscreening on the bottom with a model number. Is it still present
and readable? And if not, do you recall about how old the keyboard is?

What I write is what I mean. I request that anyone who decides to respond
please refrain from "disagreeing" with something I didn't write in the first
place.

## sorry, I thought keyboard II would be it..

(it's my first Apple :-) )

a sticker on the back side, made in ireland, only a barcode.

pressed-in the plastic:
1991 Apple Computer
Apple Keyboard II
Family number: M 0487
FCC ID: BCGM 0487

for me it's the standard keyboard for the macintosh se/30
i got it in the original 'bag' with computer, mouse, microphone? and
some cables.

at home it showed the famous vertical line in the monitor, after an
initial startup with the Apple desktop, with some blinking..
found info on repairing that in the net, 'm waiting for the torx 15
loooooooong shaft screwdriver now...
