in the slots where you put the PCI cards, top-back. I had trouble
getting that darn screw back into the hole. Maybe I stripped the darn
thing. I know I stripped the screw. What's the best way to to get that
screw to stay in there and not strip it in the first place--failing
that, can I use a slightly larger screw, and if so, what kind is it??
sorry for asking such dumb questions

My guess is that you forced the screw when it wasn't in straight.
The springiness of the PCI card will naturally push the screw
out of line. The best way to avoid it is to not force it if
it's at all stiff - they should go in with little pressure. If
it is stiff, take it out and try again. And be patient.
I have no idea what size they are, but they are of a standard
size (in that they're the same type as those found in PCs).

Gently try another PCI screw to see if you really have stripped
the hole (remember it should go in without much pressure).
If you have stripped the hole, I wouldn't try to force a bigger
screw in there. Rather, I suggest getting a short nut and
bolt from your local hardware store will suffice.

thanks. Mr. Rogers
will do that
wish that there was some kind of more permanent solution, nearly
foolproof....ah, but fools are so ingenious, aren't we??>
