New Intel iMac 10.4.4, 2G RAM, external modem

Connection with the external modem was pretty poor so got out the
Airport base that I had not used in maybe 2 years. Had to reset it and
start over but connected fine. Only thing is, there is no connection
speed shown. Is there a utility or something that I can download that
will show the Airport connection speed?

Go find yourself a copy of MenuMeters. Works for all network interfaces,
disk use, CPU load and more.
