I'm looking for a new monitor since my CRT is on it's last legs and have
been eyeballing two Viewsonic LCD monitors.  The ones I am looking at
are the VX922 19" and the 20.1" widescreen VX2025WM.  I'm currently
using a G4 733 Digital Audio with a GeForce4 MX/64 MB graphics card.
Can my card even support the 1680x1050 of the VX2025WM?  The VX2025WM is
about $70 more.  Is it worth the extra if it will work my G4?  I'll
probably be picking up a new intel duo Powerbook soon so I'm thinking of
compatibility there as well.

Thanks for any input,

Scott

<snip hardware compatibility question>

If (as the subject suggests) you want to know if widescreen is a plus,
I'd definitely say so. Not only for movies, but with the dock on the
left, some application in the middle and often used files on the desktop
to the right, I'm happy.
