I currently have a nVidia GeForce4 MX and am finding the need for a
faster, more capable graphics card. (I'm getting into 3-D rendering; and
I recently played Halo on my roomie's iMac G5--I had no idea what I was
missing.) What's appropriate for a 2002 Quicksilver tower G4?

I have almost no knowledge in this area, so use small words :)

That you can buy retail...

<http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/video/hardware/>

They have the ATI Radeon 9600 in a couple of different models and the
somewhat better Radeon 9800.

Anything higher than that for an ATI card requires an 8x AGP slot and
the QS2002 only has a 4x AGP.

Otherwise you'll have to search ebay to see what you can find for nVidia
cards and I'm not certain which ones are the best, or even available for
your G4.

Greg B.

PS.  I have the Radeon 9800 in my G4.
