We need to put a PowerMac G4 in a rack and we need a rack-mounting-kit
for it.
I've seen these somewhere, but where?

Sure - I've done the Google thing, but I can't find anyone for sale.
Marathon sold kits, but they're gone.
Does anyone know anyone else that sells kits like these?

It might just be easier and more practical to pick up a second-hand G4
Xserve.

A company called Marathon Computing had a G4 mount that would replace
the ears on your G4, but when I went to confirm the link to post on
here, I noticed that they aren't taking orders anymore.  You may be
able to find the G4 kit in stock somewhere like MacMall or another
similar reseller with leftover inventory.

Honestly though, any sort of modification to the G4 case is a chore and
in the end, we ended up using A/V component shelving to lay the CPU
horizontally on its side and had no problems.  We've since replaced any
systems for which we required rack mounting with Xserve hardware.
