Working on a Wallstreet

I've got a Wallstreet which wouldn't take power, so I opened it up and
replaced the sound/AC board.  On getting it back together and plugging
it in, the green light came on for a few seconds with the fan, then both
shut off again.

Pressing the power button did nothing.

Pressing the power button and the func/opt/shift made the green light
come on momentarily on releasing everything.  No other response.  I took
the machine apart again and replaced the charge board, just in case.  No
change on putting it back together.

Suggestions?

I figured out what was missing: patience.

After I left it plugged in for a while, I pressed the power button
again, and it came up just fine.  Woohoo!
