I have older Slot Loading G3 MAC CRT all in.
In the manual it says you can install a Airport card with appropriate
adapter.
Older airport cards are quiet expensive even second had and was wondering if
I have the appropriate adapter, do I have to install an Airport Card
(802.11b) or are there any other compatable wireless cards I can use as an
alternative?

If you want to install the card internally, you simply need to use the
Airport card.
You may use an external solution, but I doubt that this is much cheaper.
For example, the DWL-900AP+ from D-Link can act as an external "WLAN
card" if it is configured accordingly.

I have an old 233 Mhz iMac running Panther. Is that the slot loading
type or the tray loading type? Anyway, it's at least as old as yours. I
bought a D-Link DWL-G122 USB wireless network adaptor on ebay. This does
not officially support Apple, but I found a driver on the web that
works! I found this article:
http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050201091946184
tells me that any USB wireless dongle that uses the Ralink Technologies
2500 chip set will use this driver.
I paid only $14 on ebay, so I am extremely happy. This system is far
away from my wired network, so this works well for me. The wired network
is on the first floor of my house, and the computer is on the third
floor. I still get a good quality signal.
