i found a powerbook 140 at a thrift store that won't start up with the
power on button but will start up fine using the reset button in the
recessed hole every time. while i could keep using the reset to start up,
i would like to find out why the power on button doesn't get a response.

any ideas? thanks in advance.

how difficult is it to change that? does the whole laptop have to come
apart or can it be changed from a door in the bottom?

thanks again
