about 2wks ago i was using my laptop while laying on top of a bed and i
accidently torqued it and cracks appeared on the screen - more cracks
now and colorful. i have about 10 days left on the 1yr warranty - what
are my options (without spending $100s)
thank you

There was a post in one of these forums recently about some guy who
dropped a Powerbook running to an airplane. Completely smashed the case
and LCD. I think he had Apple Care tho' but even so he took it to Apple
( here I'm thinking "no way") but they repaired it brand new for
nothing. It's worth a shot . The only cheaper option would be to find a
bad laptop with a good screen on ebay. A crap shoot and you would need
to know how to take the laptop apart and swap the screens.
