So is there any difference between 1.1 and 2.0 cables?   Looking for
some extension cables on line, and it's touch.  Some don't say anything.
Some 2.0's look cheap enough they're probably 1.1's in a new package.

So is there any real difference in a 2.0 cable?

Any cable rated for USB 1 will transfer at USB 2 speeds.  However, I
recall an article saying that many vendors sell USB cables that are not
even rated for USB 1.  I guess just go with a trusted vendor and keep
the cable length within specs.
