Using airport with a regular stereo?

Are there devices that would let me transmit music from my regular (and
old) stereo to wireless speakers? (I bought the tuner/preamp and amp in
'97, so there are no digital ouputs -- just RCA plugs between them and
speaker connections on the amp.)

If you mean streaming audio to an AirPort Express base station, that can
only be done from iTunes running on a Mac or PC. There are many
non-Apple products for distributing analog audio wirelessly, such as
D-Link's Stereo Adapter Kit <http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=290>.

Okay, we have a Mac and Louise is an iTunes user. So, uh, how does it get
to speakers?

Looks like an interesting product that means we could play from our
stereo. If I understand your first comment, using airport means we'd have
to stream from the computer. I'd rather have the stereo with it's big
speakers going, and the wireless remote speakers in another room.

You get an AirPort Express base station, connect its audio output to the
audio amplifier's (or powered speakers') line input, join the base
station's wireless network (or run an Ethernet cable to it), and launch
a recent version of iTunes.
