I added an ethernet card to my Quadra 630 and it connects to my cable
modem without difficulty.

Just a note that the CommSlot Ethernet cards come in TWO Versions.
CommSlot-I is for 62xx 63x and 52x series Cpu's.
CommSlot-II is for 6360, 64xx, 65xx, 54xx, 55xx series Cpu's
The two versions are NOT Interchangable, and ARE Mutually Exclusive.

Nice catch! I had forgotten that important detail, thanks.

Yes, the modem card can be replaced with a Comm slot ethernet card.
However, the 6360 also has a PCI slot, and PCI ethernet cards are much
easier to find.

Just remeber that the 6360 NEEDS a CommSlot-II ethernet card and not the
earlier CommSlot-I that was used in the 63x and 52x series cpu's..
The two are NOT interchangable, and ARE mutually exclusive.
