I have the 35 Plus version film scanner. Got it several years ago, did
some good work with it then packed it away in static protection plastic
until a few days ago. It responds to the driver commands properly, but the
scanned information is devoid of any visible information. Photoshop says
the scans are at the selected ppi in the plug-in or PolaColor Insight and
are around 5 MB in size. The histogram is flat for RGB and luminosity, but
the levels command shows a single line spike at the far white end. It
seems the light sensor must not be working. Does any reader here have any
ideas about this. Please email direct to ferma001@umn.edu
Thanks.

Or the bulb is dead?

The bulb illuminates fully. When I put it in storage I wrapped in static
free sheeting and taped it up to keep out the dust. It sat on a shelf for
a couple years. When I unwrapped it and found it didn't sent data bytes
across, I took off the main cover and blew it out with compressed air (you
know those cans). I also looked down the light entry slot and saw the
collector lens unobstructed. So I know the sensor is getting light. There
are supposed to be two internal fuses but I can't see them or something
that looks like a fuse. It is strange that it does not work. I am baffled.
