Hi!

With the iPod carrying a lot of music I wonder if its possible to
create filters an my pc or mac that can be applied on-the-go?

to get some good metal music i would apply
genre - metal
rating - 3 or better

or I am looking for something good from a chosen band:
artist - type o negative
rating - 4 or better

Is there any way to achieve this?

Thanks!

Bernhard

Create a few Smart Playlists in iTunes and export them to the iPod.  I
have smart lists for "Random Jazz", "Random Pop", and "Random Rock",
among others.  Mine lists are limited to a time that matches a
particular activity and selected by least often played within a specific
genre or category.
