I was using my iPod mini on my XP Pro desktop system and then decided
to install the software and connect the device to my laptop. On the
laptop system (XP Pro also), I told the software installation to
reconfigure the device (which I didn't want to do since it removed all
my mp3's). Now when I go back to my desktop system, the iPod is not
recognized. I uninstalled all software and restarted the system.
Reinstalled just like I'm supposed to and nothing. iPod updater does
not recognize the device either.

Any solutions welcome
