I picked up a Sierra Wirless Aircard 555 to use as a wireless internet
connection.  This PCMCIA card is a multi-function card acting as a NIC
and a modem.

It's not supported for the Mac by the vendor, but I've found an OS X
driver for the card here:

http://www.cs.ucsd.edu/~snoeren/aircard.html

I'd like to use the card on my recently acquired G4 desktop.  How do I
connect a PCMCIA card to a Mac desktop?  I searched for "PCMCIA
reader", which is what they are called in the PC world.  These are PCI
cards that plug into the PC's logic board and take PCMCIA cards.

I can't find squat for the Mac.  Is there any way to connect this
PCMCIA card thru the Mac's PCI slot, firewire, USB, ethernet?  I'm open
to any suggestions.

Thanks,

Pokey.
