There's currently a Rage128 16MB card in here.  I'm supprised 16MB even
works. :)  What's a cheap way to upgrade this?  Find a used ATI card?
Buy a Nvidia MX440 and flash the bios?  I have an MX420 laying around,
but it looks like the rom image is different from the 440.

Thanks,
Mike

Look here: http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/accelerators/ATI-Videocards/

In my opinion, the "deal" is the Radeon 9600Pro for just over $100.  The
9800 Pro, at $340, while definitely better, is not so much of a deal for
a $200 (PC version) card.

...only problem being it won't work in anything but a G5.
Might work in a late-model G4 after some odd mods, but
probably won't work on an ancient G4 that shipped with a
Rage128.

Look carefully.  There's one listed for PowerMac G4's also...

I wish I had the money to pick one up...

That G4 "compatible" 9600 only works in AGP 4X compatible G4s (Digital
Audio -> MDD systems).  The particular AGP spec they used with those
cards do not support AGP 2X.  I don't think they'd even physically fit
in an AGP 2X slot.

Well, not knowing what model G4 this was for and knowing that the Rage
128 was an option in the Digital Audio models, had to point that out.
