Sportster and PPC

Sorry if this is a lame question but here goes.... can I use a 56k non mac
sportster external modem on a PPC 5200?

Yes. Just get a Mac modem cable that supports hardware handshaking.

Yep. Sportsters are (with a couple of unlikely-to-be-encountered anymore  
exceptions) "full" modems that will work with any computer. All you need
is the proper (hardware handshaking) cable.
