We realy need a laser printer for our family of workers and students.
Inkjets cost too much, and I've heard cost per page is much lower with a laser
printer than with inkjets, and quality is naturaly much better-
I do know that I should look for a laser printer that provides a new drum with
each new toner thingie, which saves a lot of money.
Other than that, what's a low cost choice for our Mac?
We mostly use the 7500/300 running OS 9.1, but soon OS 10.2.8 I hope-
Is mail order going to cost to much due to shipping?
Only thing around here for me is an Office Max and 50 miles away is a CompUSA.
If cost doesn't increase too much, i'd like to install it onto my mac network of
4 macs.
Thanks for any imput from everyone......DaveC......

Been using an hp LaserJet 6MP for years in a similar situation and it's
been completely trouble free, quiet, reliable, free from paper jams.
Not the latest hp model, I guess, but if newer ones are equally good . .

You're right about cost and laser printers have come way down in cost
over the last few years. I get to see a good number of small business
offices in my work, and while ink jets top the list, many have moved to
laser printers. Many of these are HPs. My own experience and those of
these clients would echo that of the previous poster, reliability plus.
For a greater investment a color laser that has given good service to me
is the Epson C900. Low price for a color laser, and consumables are
likewise low cost when compared with others.
