I am running OS 10.2.8 on an 18 GB SCSI HD ID:1 ( boot ) and OS 9.2.1 on a
4.5 GB SCSI ID:0 ( shell ) on a Power Macintosh 8600 with 480 MB of memory &
using XpostFacto. Does anyone know where I can find the proper drivers for
a SONY external SCSI CRX145S/XS CD rewritable CD-RW, CD-R ? I am having no
luck finding them for either OS 10.2.8 or OS 9.2.1. Right now each system
only recognizes the external drive as a CD-ROM and that is when a Mac CD is
mounted in it. According to the description on the carton this Sony drive
came in it was supposed to have been shipped with Sony "Spressa Software
Suite" which included [ CD Extreme, abCD, Discribe, Retrospect & Mixman
Studio for Mac ], but I purchased this from an Ebay seller and when
contacted he had no idea where the CDs were that originall came with it. I
assume the Mac drivers were also included in the missing Software Suite. I
have toast lite 6.0 and iTunes 4.1 but neither recognize this drive as a
burner without having the proper drivers installed. Can anyone help out
with this problem ?

The drivers will be loaded when an application that requires them is run.
do you own Toast or Retrospect? How about iDVD or Burn? Most of these
will have the appropriate drivercode built in them.
