If I have an excel file with photos in it, and I print it to pdf, the resulting pdf file is as big as the original excel file, and it's too big to email. How can I make the pdf a smaller file size?

The PDF is actually created via OSX, so there's probably not a lot you
can do in XL other than put smaller photos.

However, once the PDF is created, there are a number of PDF compression
methods - for instance you can use GraphicConverter or PDF Shrink (both
commercial, but relatively inexpensive).
