PivotTable ignores format

Hi,
one of my columns contains a full date but is formatted to only display
year and month. When using it in a PivotTable Report this reverts to the
default format, and rows are grouped by day instead of year>month :(

Can I circumvent this by modifying some formula in the report?

Hi Tobias,

Can you be more specific about your problem?  I played around with this and
when formatting column date data as month/year the pivot table retained the
formatting.

If it also works could you send me a file I could take a look at to figure
out what is going on?  My email is: fercon@microsoft.com

Thanks!

Found the problem: everything works as expected as long as ALL rows have
a date. If there's one with a blank cell in that column everything
reverts.
