Hi, i have Mac Excel 2008 and am wanting to add a new column to an existing table, i have tried to do this by highlighting the last column and doing an insert new column but this only generates one new row at the heading and mucks up all my lines throughout the table, so i have to go through and line them up again. I hope you can assist me.

Hi Sarah

Can't be sure, but from your description it sounds like you have merged
cells in the structure you're referring to as a table. If so it's going to
be virtually impossible to effectively modify the structure.
