Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: intel Why is the text not appearing as I type into a cell - only to suddenly appear after I press return? Check Excel> Preferences - Edit to make sure you have "Double-click allows editing directly in cells" enabled.
